Development Hell
Made in 4 days for the UNC Game Jam, true to the theme of our game.
A platformer roguelike (?) in which you inflict development hell upon yourself. Stay alive to increase the scope of your game and code your way to new features, while avoiding exerting too much effort on fixing bugs and rushing - you might burn out otherwise!
Try to make the biggest game you can before motivation runs out!
We aren't actually eligible, as kobkiet has graduated and blue is not from UNC.
This was just for fun and because we hate ourselves! :)
Keybinds:
WASD - Movement
Enter/Space - Jump
Left Click/J - Attack
Shift - Dash
Other notes:
You are able to attack and dash in 8 directions
Enemies are bugs - they only increase burnout like dashing and attacking, killing them does not increase scope
Game is not balanced - play at your own risk
If you ever feel stuck, know you can dash as much as you want in the air and straight up
